Shooting down liberty

The framers of the Constitution did "ordain and establish" the document in an effort to "insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity."

This is a good time to take a time out from the daily mundane necessities of life and revisit the foundation upon which better men than ourselves sacrificed to "secure the Blessings of Liberty" for a posterity that has become increasingly jaded, myopic and derelict.

Gardens need weeding. Friendships need nurturing. Love needs to be requited. Without attention, gardens, friendships and love will all die. The gift granted us by the framers intended to "secure the Blessings of Liberty" is not a brick-a-brack to be deposited on a shelf to collect dust. It requires for its sustenance attention, and nurture.

America, we have been too long derelict in our responsibility and care for our gifts of Liberty and Freedom.

Thelen Paulk wrote a chilling piece called "Visitor from the Past" in which he lists the chronic usurpations we have allowed.

Our "Blessings of Liberty" have been, and are being routinely and consistently eroded. The incrementalism of political correctness is a veritable cancer eating away the essence and soul of our republic and with that our legacy of liberty and freedom.

Read the Declaration of Independence and take special note of the list of grievances tallied against the tyrannical king. How many similar and more grievous usurpations have we suffered in your lifetime?

I have often noted that the would-be controllers who presume to codify their superiority and control over us will not do so (are not doing so) by legislation. Oh sure, the democratic socialists continue to pursue a legislative agenda of usurpations and control. However, I genuinely believe those politically correct legislative showpieces are merely incremental tools to condition the masses and also to judge and identify areas of resistance.

Eventually, the fatal blows to our liberty and freedom will come from international treaties, and they will come from and be implemented by the United Nations.

Now before you try to marginalize the message as babblings co-opted from a vast right wing conspiracy, take a moment and look at the facts in evidence and not the messenger.

"The conventions of a number of the States having at the time of their adopting the Constitution, expressed a desire, in order to prevent misconstruction or abuse of its powers, that further declaratory and restrictive clauses should be added. ..." Have a look at two of those amendments, found in the Bill of Rights:

Even the left wing's venerable Harvard law professor, Laurence Tribe has belatedly (and arguably begrudgingly) acknowledged that the framers' use of "the people" is consistent throughout the founding documents. What part of "shall not be infringed" really confuses the Chuck Schumers, Dianne Feinsteins and Barbara Boxers? In other words, as previously stated in the Constitution, The Constitution and the Bill of Rights are intended to restrict government. It is not a mechanism or law by which government enjoys the luxury of restricting or controlling "we the people."

Here are a few axioms. These are irrefutable facts which freedom-loving Americans and those who enjoy the "blessings" of liberty apparently still fail to recognize:

Our enemies, real and potential, both viewed an armed populace as a significant impediment to invasion. Nevertheless, we have elected officials who have taken an oath to "preserve and protect the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic" who seem intent on doing their level worst to remove the single greatest and unanimous obstacle to aggressor adventurism.

Just as criminals avoid armed victims, would-be enemies have avoided an armed America. The mainstream media is absurdly comfortable ignoring the overwhelming statistical documentation (see Dr. John Lott's "More Guns Less Crime") that when law-abiding citizens are armed, crime goes down, and that when governments disarm citizens crime increases.

Despite the fact that 8 million law abiding gun owners didn't kill anyone today, the would-be controllers have now taken another tack to comply with the United Nothings ultimate wet dream.

A recent headline read "Kmart to Phase Out Ammunition Sale."

Kmart reportedly intends to phase out the sale of handgun ammunition over the next three months. Kmart stores haven't carried handguns since the 1970s, but they continue to sell hunting rifles and other long guns despite pressure from gun-control advocates to stop selling firearms.

Company spokeswoman Julie Fracker said the sale of firearms and ammunition had been under review as part of a merchandising strategy by the company's new executive team for some time -- which translates to their having been brow beaten into submission by the disarm America coalition.

Fracker said, "Obviously we consider ourselves a socially conscious business, but this was a business decision made in the best interests of the company." We'll see how "socially conscious" and politically correct they remain when the boycotts kick into full gear. There are consequences.

Meanwhile as the usual legislative suspects maintain their diversionary attack, and corporate America is intimidated and blackmailed into complicity, the would-be master controllers pursue their globalist agenda of controlling any and all tools which threaten their goal of a disarmed, complacent, easily-controlled, homogenous and subservient feudal workforce.

Thomas Jefferson once observed, "Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law,' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual."
